Search YouTube for “real life GTA” and you’ll get hordes of videos created by fans from all across the globe bringing GTA characters into the real world, and also a video of a man going on an actual GTA rampage in Denver (I kid you not!). Most of these videos are shot by amateur fans, expressing their love for the series, but this one video created by a freelance VFX production house called Corridor Digital, takes things to a whole new level.
Shot in Los Angeles, a city that eerily resembles the fictitious Los Santos, the video is probably the best tribute to the game out there. The makers have paid so much attention to details that for a second you feel that you are actually seeing a gameplay video of GTA V. Every single movement, from the way the character draws his gun to the way he pulls out random people from their cars and drives off, is exactly the same as in the game. Especially the camera angles and movement are exactly the way they are in the hit game by Rockstar. The camera also shakes when you are driving the car, just like in the game, no kidding. The makers made sure that the character enacted the iconic walk and the exploding of the wads of cash out of humans that you just turn into dead bodies.
Corridor digital is a freelance visual effects production house with its own popular YouTube channel. The one day old video has already garnered more than 3 million views already. Check out the video below.
