Rustbucket Rumble

May 31, 2015 — by Abhijit "BabuMoshaaye" Dey0

2D side-scrolling games are far from dead and the new ones get more interesting everyday. Rustbucket Rumble lets you pick between six different robots, giving you access to them in rotation. There’s the Red team and Blue team and they battle it out against each other, turning their adversaries into trash and recycling them to build a giant robot. That robot, once created, brings in the real fun to the game as it goes about wrecking the opponent’s robot factory. But if both the teams manage to complete their robots, well, it’s a treat to watch two giant robots pounding each other. Picking the right character is essential since they each play different roles in a match, offering different abilities. As you turn your opponents into buckets of trash, you can carry them over to your factory and recycle them, feeding your giant robot. You need to do this fast since that bucket of trash transforms back into an enemy after a time.

Rustbucket Rumble is quite fun, fast and competitive, and currently the multiplayer isn’t so wonderful, but the game is good enough to give it a roll. Now’s your chance to bring that pent up roborage an outlet! So what are you waiting for? Grab the game for free on Steam and get gaming!
