NVIDIA's going around the country as part of their latest NVIDIA #GamerConnect campaign to popularise their GeForce hardware

NVIDIA is going around the country as part of their latest NVIDIA #GamerConnect campaign. And the Mumbai leg of the campaign was held at Gear Up, an NVIDIA experience zone / gaming cafe in Hiranandani Gardens, Powai. With an ample turnout, the cafe was packed to the hilt with gamers from across the city who’d come down to experience recently released AAA video game titles like Assassin’s Creed Syndicate and Rainbow Six Siege in all its 4K glory on NVIDIA-powered machines.

The Mumbai event saw about 35 gamers in attendance with the entire event being broken down into two sessions. The #GamerConnect event mainly constitutes of NVIDIA and a partner or two elaborating upon all the gaming hardware that they have to offer and educating gamers about how their gaming experience can be enhanced with good hardware. The Mumbai leg had Gigabyte chiming in along with NVIDIA. If you wish to attend #GamerConnect then you might want to check out NVIDIA’s facebook page for the low-down on upcoming events. The next event is being held on the 17th of December in Chennai and then on the 18th in Chennai and Ahmedabad. These events are invite-only so you might want to register early to secure an invite.

NVIDIA is aggressively marketing their hardware along with board partners in India which is predominantly a price conscious market. And to add to the woes of gamers, there is the fact that graphics card imports attract plenty of taxes (totalling up to 10.3%) that send prices shooting. India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and other countries in the sub-continent accord for most of the low-end and mid-ranged card sales. And this is something that NVIDIA hopes to change for the better so the NVIDIA #GamerConnect campaign can be said to be one of many more to follow.
