BenQ has adopted ZOWIE as their new brand for anything related to gaming. ZOWIE has also announced its association with eXTREMESLAND, which is an annual CS:GO eSports event held for players of the Asia-Pacific region.
ZOWIE will be providing monitors for all matches which will be played in the eXTREMESLAND ZOWIE Asia CS:GO 2016 tourney. eXTREMESLAND will feature ZOWIE as the brand that will represent BenQ’s gaming related products, in addition to being the title sponsor and the official monitor provider.
The Asia CS:GO championship will cover over 20 countries across the Asia-Pacific. The qualifiers are set to take place from July till August and almost a thousand CS:GO teams are set to duke it out. The qualifiers include both online and offline competitions and at the end of it only 16 teams will go on to the Asia Grand Final which will be held in China this September for a prize pool of US $100,000 (or approximately Rs. 67.5 lac).
The India Championship local qualifiers will proceed as follows:
Registrations – Open from 21st June to the 8th of July, 2016.
Online Qualifiers – 11th July to the 28th of July, 2016.
Online Semifinals – 9th and 10th of August, 2016.
Offline Finals – 20th and 21st of August, 2016.
The winner of the Indian Championship will be sent to Shanghai, China to represent the country. LXG – The League of Extraordinary Gamers, Bangalore, will host the offline finals where the top 4 CS:GO teams of the country will compete for the chance to participate in the eXTREMESLAND Asia Pacific finals in China. BenQ ZOWIE will also help the team that wins the finals by setting up a boot camp for them to prepare for the Asia Pacific finals. Teams can register here.
