In a rather interesting pairing, WWE and Riot Games have teamed up to bring you a very unique offering. Imaqtpie and Tyler1 of League of Legends fame, coaching WWE and NXT superstars at League of Legends to collide on the Summoner’s Rift. Yes, you read that right.

Imaqtpie, Tyler1

The rivalry between Michael “imaqtpie” Santana and Tyler “Tyler1” Steinkamp is nothing short of legendary within the League community. Both are incredibly popular streamers on Twitch with massive followings. They also both happen to play the same role, of the bottom lane AD carry, which has resulted in them colliding on the rift very often. And so the contest between the two for the best AD carry in NA has been going on for ages, featuring a lot of shittalking and online flexing.

World Wrestling Entertainment and Riot Games are pitting superstars from WWE’s main roster against members of WWE’s NXT roster. Each roster will have four members, with the fifth player being the coach. While imaqtpie will coach the members of the main roster, Tyler1 will be coaching the NXT superstars. The WWE roster will include Seth Rollins, Tyler Breeze, Cesaro, and Ruby Riot while the NXT roster will include Adam Cole, Johnny Gargano, Shayna Baszler and Dakota Kai.

The whole thing is set to be documented in a six-part series where the two (imaqtpie and Tyler) coach the wrestlers on the game. As a result of the collaboration, League content will show up on the WWE Network during the NXT Takeover event, Wargames, which is set to take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles later this November.

NXT Takeover Wargames is set to take place on the 17th of November, and the final LoL showdown is set to happen at the NA League of Legends Championship Series Arena on November 16.
