Square Enix announces The Quiet Man at E3 2018

June 12, 2018 — by Mithun "Barbarian_Monkey" Mohandas0

Among the many announcements that Square Enix made during E3 2018, one stood out from amongst the crowd for being a brand new IP – The Quiet Man. With a tagline of ‘silence rings loudest’, it should be easy to assume that silence plays a huge role in the gameplay. Square Enix calls the game as an ‘immersive story-driven cinematic action experience’ which can be completed in one sitting.

THE QUIET MAN

According to the developers The Quiet Man blends live-action, realistic CG with pulse-pounding action gameplay. We don’t know if the game has anything to do with the 1952 John Wayne movie with the same name, although it would be too early to comment since not much is known about The Silent Man right now.

Given that the movie was a romantic comedy and the game is supposed to have pulse-pounding action elements, we can easily say that the two are going to be dissimilar.

More details at Gamescom

Only a short teaser for The Quiet Man was showcased at the E3 2018 Square Enix showcase so more can be expected at Gamescom which rolls around in August.

Deep in the suburban jungle roams the only member of the mystical species, Barbarianicus Ass-kick-us. This super awesome creature carries with it the answers to none of life's mysteries. Then what on earth could be so awesome about him? Being able to binge-game for countless hours and exercise remarkable restraint over his penchant for sarcasm around members of lesser species are just some of qualities that make him likeable...really likeable. xD
