A Skyrim mod by the name of Enderal is soon getting its own Steam page. The mod is a total conversion mod for The Elder Scroll V: Skyrim. By total conversion, it means the mod completely overhauls the game, and only the base controls of the games remain the same. So basically, the mod changes the way you gain exp, and it even removes fast travel from the game among many other things.
As you would imagine, this led to a major problem. Once applied, the mod changes also applied to your regular Skyrim game, so you could either play Enderal, or Skyrim, and not switch between the two, unless you were willing to take measures to uninstall the mod everytime you wanted to play regular Skyrim.
Thankfully, that’s set to change now, as mentioned on the mod’s Steam store page, “Enderal will have a completely standalone game and save game directory, so that the installation will no longer interfere with your Skyrim directory. You will be able to have both games installed at the same time!”
Note, you will still need the base Skyrim game in order to be able to play Enderal. Even just the base Skyrim is enough, you don’t need the DLCs either.
The mod’s not available for download yet on Steam, but it set to come out this year. If you’re wondering about Enderal itself though, it came out back in 2016 and even won an award at The Game Awards for Best Fan Creation 2016.
