Rust has finally left Early Access after spending a good 4 years there. Following its departure from Early Access, the price has also gone up. The update schedule for the game has also been changed, from a weekly maintenance to monthly, basically to keep an eye out for any more changes or balancing that needs to be done.

For those of you who don’t know, Rust was one of the popular multiplayer survival games that had taken the gaming world by storm a few years ago. Some other notable titles from and around that time include H1Z1, DayZ, Ark: Survival Evolved, Conan Exiles and more.

For those of you who play Rust, the biggest change with the departure from Early Access and the official release is the graphics overhaul. The game has an almost complete graphics overhaul. Environment artist Vincent Mayeur wrote in a blog post that the game’s visuals have been rethought “from the ground up, combing over almost every aspect of the game, striving for consistency”.

So everything from rocks, to the trees and the foliage look much prettier. The colour palette is also seeing some changes and the lighting has also been improved.

On the gameplay front, weapon recoil has been reworked. There was a known issue where your aim swayed randomly every few seconds, they’ve fixed that.

You can read about the changes mentioned above and all the other changes in the blog post.
