Ghost Recon: Wildlands is Ubisoft’s best-selling game so far this year, and you can now try the game out for free. Well, you can play the first five hours of Wildlands for free.
For those of you who don’t know, Ghost Recon: Wildlands is a combination of a stealth-shooter and an open-world game, quite a massive open-world at that, which makes it quite a unique offering. Wildlands takes place in the country of Bolivia, where you have been assigned to take down a drug cartel.
Unfortunately, the trial is only available and accessible on the online stores for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 owners. Which blows for PC.
All progression you’ve made by the end of 5-hour trial will carry on to the game if you decide to purchase it after.
Why the Ghost Recon: Wildlands trial is a good thing
The good thing about the trial for Wildlands is that the game’s story is linear, so you can freely choose the missions you want to take up and the areas you want to operate in. The trial gives you complete access to the full game, so you can try to cover as much ground as possible in those five hours. But we highly doubt you’d be able to cover everything. The game is pretty massive.
There’s no shortage of content and stuff to do. As of right now, there are also two paid expansions for the game as well, and a PVP mode planned for this fall.
5 hours is plenty of time to get a feel for the game and get in a good deal of exploration. The best part is you can try it out with your friends for the optimal experience. While the AI companions and decent, the main pull for Wildlands is, of course, the co-op gameplay. You really need good co-ordination in order to be able to pull-off successful stealthy heists.
Hey, you’re getting to play Wildlands for free! There’s no harm in trying it out. Who knows, you might end up liking it.
