Obsidian Entertainment’s action-RPG Alpha Protocol was one of those underrated gems that went past under the radar. Those who played it, loved it though. The game first came out back in 2010 but it looks like Obsidian is considering coming back to it. This because the developer made a Twitter post showing that the studio (literally, sort-of) has its eyes on the game.
Limited Run Games co-founder Douglas Bogart created a Twitter poll asking, “Do you want a remaster of Alpha Protocol for modern consoles?”, and although Obsidian Entertainment made no official comment on the poll at the time, the company’s Twitter account did retweet the poll with the eye emojis.

Obsidian Entertainment is no stranger to amazing RPG games, they’ve got the likes of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, Neverwinter Nights 2, Fallout: New Vegas, Pillars of Eternity and more under their belts.
And while Alpha Protocol was missed out in 2010, it has gathered quite a reasonable following in the time since, enough to warrant interest in a potential remaster. If you haven’t played Alpha Protocol, you might want to give it a go, especially if you’re into RPGs. Fair warning, it might feel a bit dated, but don’t let that stop you.
