If you’re among the people who purchased Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey Gold edition, or purchased the game’s season pass, then you will be getting access to the remastered version of Assassin’s Creed 3 in March next year. Assassin’s Creed 3 came out back in 2012, so we guess it’s nice that the game is getting some love in 2019.
As seen on Ubisoft’s website, the remaster will greatly improve on the game’s graphics, bringing in high res textures, new character models, a new rendering system for lighting, denser crowds, environments and changes to VFX. Additionally, the remaster will also support 4K and HDR.
The FAQ provided by Ubisoft on their website also says that certain gameplay mechanics are also going to be improved. All it says though is that “several features are being revamped or tweaked”. It doesn’t mention what those features or the changes are. So we’ll just have to wait to find out about those.
The remaster will included all the post-launch content that released after the game came out in 2012 as well. This includes the Benedict Arnold Missions, the Hidden Secrets Pack and all three episodes of the Tyranny of King Washington. Also, it will include an Assassin’s Creed: Liberation remaster, which was a PS Vita (RIP) exclusive.
Not too many were fond of Assassin’s Creed 3, especially after the Ezio saga came to an end. But it did have its good moments. Maybe they will address the bad ones in remaster, but that’s mostly unlikely.
