One of the most anticipated games of 2018, Monster Hunter World is releasing for consoles in January, but Capcom had announced earlier that Monster Hunter World was coming out on PC as well, we just didn’t know when exactly. We now have an update which Capcom provided via Twitter: they’re aiming for an autumn 2018 release.
In a brief video, producer Ryozo Tsujimoto says that they’re “working hard on it (Monster Hunter World) right now and are aiming for an autumn 2018 release (for the PC version).” This is the first time Capcom has divulged information about the PC version of Monster Hunter and it’s still not much to go on. We still don’t know what the game will be like on PC, but we will hopefully have a better idea once the game does release on consoles later this month.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with Monster Hunter games, they’re skill-based combat games – like Dark Souls in more ways than just difficulty – where you’re sent on quests to hunt down monsters. They have a huge following in Asia. Word is that Monster Hunter World is looking to be an excellent Monster Hunter game; a great way for PC gamers to be introduced to the franchise.
