IGX to host WWE 2K16 Championship in India

E-xpress announced the WWE 2K16 championship at the Indian Gaming Expo. The championship will be held at the IGX on 14th and 15th November 2015 from 11am onwards at the Bombay Exhibition Center, Mumbai. To participate register here. To make things more interesting, e-xpress announced a PS4 Console for the champion and the 1st runner up along with ₹30,000 and ₹10,000 cash respectively. The second runner up will be awarded ₹15,000 cash and all the 3 winners will be given a WWE Championship Title toy by Mattel Inc. Although all the participants will receive participation gifts from the organizers.

The championship will be held in a knockout format, where you can choose any character from the main roster and if there is a conflict of choosing same character by two players, it will be resolved the traditional way, by tossing a coin in front of a Marshall. If you feel like you don’t like the character you are playing with then you can change it during the tournament. You can bring your own controllers, but no eatables or drinks are allowed in the gaming arena. A detailed description of the rules and regulations, on a case by case basis is provided in the registration form and are mandatory.

The WWE 2K16 that stars Stone Cold ‘Steve Austin’ as the cover superstar, now has Arnold Schwarzenegger available in the main roster. The main roster is revamped to over 120 unique playable characters, against the 67 characters featured in WWE 2K15. WWE 2K16 gives you an option to choose from various game modes like 2K showcase, WWE Universe and MyCareer. It is available on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, but the championship can be played on PS4 only. So turn on your consoles, place your fingers on the stick and get ready to win!
