Microsoft E3 2016 conference had some big hardware and software news. Xbox One S, Project Scorpio, Forza 3, Gears of War 4, etc., and more.
The Microsoft E3 2016 conference had some big hardware and software news as well in addition to the line-up of their biggest upcoming titles. Looks like Microsoft really wants to give Sony a run for their money with their new Xbox one ecosystem and their “no player left behind” concept.
Microsoft E3 2016 CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS
Xbox One Slim
Microsoft confirmed their new Xbox One Slim or Xbox One S at E3. The new console will be priced cheaper and will also be 40% smaller than the Xbox One console. Furthermore the Xbox One S will also support 4k gaming with six teraflops of performance.
Xbox Play Anywhere
Microsoft are working on a new initiative which will allow you to play games on both the Xbox One and the PC without actually having to buy the games for both platforms.
Design your own Xbox Controller
Microsoft have also launched a Design-Your-Own Xbox One Controller Program as well, which supposedly has over 8 million combinations to choose from.
Gears of War 4
We got a good look at some Gears of War 4 gameplay which looks like it will be returning to it’s roots in single-player with old school cover-shooting and chainsaw action.
Sea of Thieves
We get to see some more gameplay for Sea of Thieves and fans got to be a part of the action. We also get a new trailer and some new details about the gameplay.
Platinum Games’ latest at E3 shows us the co-op play in Scalebound with a new gameplay trailer where you work together as a team to take down big ass bosses with your dragons.
We also get a look at some Recore gameplay in their first gameplay trailer. The Xbox One and PC exclusive title will be launching sometime this September.
Final Fantasy XV
Square Enix were also generous enough to gives us a peek at some Final Fantasy XV gameplay on the Xbox One at E3.
Dead Rising 4
We also get confirmation about Dead Rising 4, with a new gameplay trailer for the game being revealed. We’ll be getting Dead Rising 4 for PC as well, unlike the previous title which was an Xbox exclusive.
Forza Horizon 3
Forza’s next title, Forza Horizon 3, has been confirmed as well. And of course it looks gorgeous AF. And what’s more, you now play the game with your friends across Xbox and PC.
Halo Wars 2
Halo Wars 2 gets some gameplay footage and a confirmed release date for February next year. They also announced the Multiplayer Beta with a trailer which featured some multiplayer gameplay.
Gwent: The Witcher Card Game
Witcher 3’s super addictive mini card game, Gwent, is getting it’s own standalone release for the Xbox One and PC.
State of Decay 2
Microsoft revealed State of Decay 2 with an announcement trailer. The game will be coming out in 2017 for both the Xbox One and PC.
Minecraft Cross Play
Microsoft announced that an Xbox Live version of Minecraft will allow for Mobile and PC cross platform play.
The Division’s Underground DLC which is launching this month, will be coming first to Xbox One, and will feature randomly generated missions. We also get to see the DLC trailer as well.
We see some Tekken 7 action as well, with Heihachi and Akuma going toe to toe. Tekken 7 will be coming out for both PC and Xbox One early next year. Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is free for Xbox Gold members.
Inside is the follow up to Playdead’s acclaimed puzzle-platformer, Limbo. Inside, as is the trend with Microsoft now, will be coming to both PC and Xbox One this June and will be free for a limited time.
