EA is a regular at E3 and they hit us with news about all of their biggest upcoming titles. At the EA E3 2016 conference, they said that Titanfall 2 would take the spotlight, they weren’t kidding. Titanfall 2 was all up in everyone’s face. Other than that, news about Mass Effect: Andromeda, Star Wars projects in the works, and FIFA 17’s story mode took the spotlight.

EA E3 2016

Titanfall 2

EA have confirmed that Titanfall 2 will indeed have a single-player campaign, something that was direly needed in the first title. They’ve also improved upon the multiplayer aspect of the game, which was already pretty decent. Furthermore, mechs have personalities now. Whaaat?

Battlefield 1

EA revealed some gameplay for Battlefield 1 which featured some ground warfare with tanks and stuff, a few dogfights here and there, oh! and a zeppelin being pumped full of bullets and going down in flames.

Mass Effect: Andromeda

We finally get more info about Mass Effect: Andromeda. We get to see a little of the game in action, and are introduced to a few new characters. EA gave out some more info regarding details of the story as well.

Star Wars

EA’s got Star Wars games in the works at several studios. From Visceral Games and BioWare to Respawn and DICE. We get a glimpse at the latest game by Visceral Games, still untitled, which will feature an “original narrative and new characters”. EA will continue to support the online MMORPG, Star Wars: The Old Republic.

So FIFA 17 will have a Story Mode. No, not Manager Mode (you’ll have that too of course), Story Mode. And it actually looks good. Step into the shoes of Alex Hunter as he makes his way in the EPL. However, story mode will not be available for the Xbox 360 and the PS3.

Madden 17

Madden NFL 17 will now have the Play The Moment feature in Franchise mode, in order to better highlight the game and plays to give players more immersion. This, alongside the official trailer for Madden NFL 17.

EA Originals

EA also announced EA Originals, which is a publishing program they’ve started aimed at helping and spotlighting Indie Games. “Fe”, by Swedish studio Zoink, will be the first title under this program.
