343 Industries recently announced some more details of their upcoming Halo title, Halo: Infinite, which will also be making its way to PC.
343 Industries had recently conducted a livestream in which they revealed some more details of Halo: Infinite, the successor to the Halo 5: Guardians. As per the announcements the game is still a long way from release.
343 Industries is working on a newer Slipspace Engine for the development of Halo: Infinite which could further push the game’s release date to beyond 2019. Players can also expect 4-player split screen in the game since the feature is currently being tested in the new engine. 343 Industries revealed that player customization in Infinite will be inspired by the one seen in Halo: Reach. PC players will specifically get new features since Infinite’s Slipspace engine was developed with PC in mind, additionally, PC will be “treated as a first-class citizen” according to 343 Industries.
A few updates were revealed for Halo 5 as well. The players who reach level 152 in Halo 5 will get a special reward in Halo: Infinite. However, the exact reward wasn’t revealed in the stream. 343 Industries said that they did not have much to add to Halo 5 further, which indirectly implies that the team was shifting its focus from Halo 5’s post-launch updates to Infinite’s development. It was also teased that Halo Infinite will feature the coolest designed Master Chief character ever. For more details from the stream, you can visit this Reddit link.
