The 2D stealth-action Assassin's Creed game set in China is available for free for a limited amount of time on the Ubisoft Store.
This time Ubisoft has come up with another free game, for a limited time. It’s the 2D Stealth-Action game Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China. As the name suggests the game takes place in China. It was the first instalment in the trilogy of the Chronicles games, each featuring a new location and a new Assassin.
Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China features the Chinese female assassin Shao Jun, who trained under the Great Ezio Auditore da Firenze. She returns to her homeland to take out a group of Templars called the Eight Tigers. The following two instalments of the trilogy are located in India and Russia. India features Arbaaz Mir in Amritsar, 1841 during a war between the Sikh Empire and the East India Company. The final part of the trilogy set in Russia follows Nikolai Orelov in 1918 who must steal an artefact from the Bolsheviks holding the Tsar’s family. Chronicles was Ubisoft’s first foray into a platformer game based on the Assassin’s Creed franchise.
Owing to the competition from other storefronts like Epic Games, Ubisoft has also recently started to give away free games. However, since Ubisoft is also a publisher, it can partner with either store.
Be sure to claim your free Assassins’ Creed Chronicles: China on the Ubisoft Store by February 5.
