The son of Hellscream is now playable on the HotS PTR

The son of legendary Warchief Grom Hellscream, Garrosh Hellscream is the newest entrant to Blizzard’s Heroes of the Storm. He’s already playable on the HotS public test realm.

Garrosh Hellscream

World of Warcraft fans will, of course, be familiar with Garrosh Hellscream, who was the primary antagonist of the Mists of Pandaria expansion. You might also recognise him as the face of the Warrior class in Hearthstone.

In Heroes of the Storm, Blizzard’s MOBA, Garrosh takes on the role of a solo-tank who gets sturdier the longer a fight lasts. His trait grants him bonus armour for every two percent of his maximum missing health.

Garrosh Hellscream – Abilities

Garrosh’s first ability, Groundbreaker, deals AoE (Area of Effect) damage in a cone and pulls enemies at the edge of the AoE towards him. His second ability is Bloodthirst, which deals single-target damage at melee range and heals him for 10 percent of his maximum health. The healing effect is doubled if the target is an enemy hero. His third ability is wrecking ball, which if you’ve played Tiny from Dota, should be quite familiar. He picks up the nearest enemy, minion or allied hero and throws them at the target location for an AoE slow and damage. What better way to chase your enemies than to throw your own allies at them, right?

Finally, Garrosh’s two heroic abilities allow players to chose between offensive or defensive roles. His first heroic ability is Warlord’s Challenge, which is an AoE taunt that silences nearby enemies as well. The second option is Decimate, a 360-degree Cleave attack which damages and slows enemies hit for 1.5 seconds. It doesn’t do much damage but it can hold up to 3 charges and has a relatively short cooldown.

You can try Garrosh out on the HotS PTR right now. For details on his kit and skins, check out his page.
