Fortnite, what everyone calls the poor man’s PUBG, (we don’t really agree, we thought it was alright) is releasing on mobile. That’s right, Fortnite is coming to iOS, and later, to Android as well. And, the mobile versions will support crossplay with PC.
The mobile versions are not expected to be downsized from the PC version and will also support the same 100-player game mode. According to the announcement, which you can read here, it only announces the “Battle Royale” mode, which might mean that we won’t be seeing the original mode, but it may be added later on.
Mobile gamers will not only be able to crossplay with PC, but with Mac and PlayStation 4 as well. That’s despite Sony’s usual reluctance to support crossplay on games on the PlayStation. Additionally, you can have a single Fortnite account which can be accessed across all the platforms.
We don’t have a date on when the mobile version of the game will release, but more details on how you can sign up for the beta and more are mentioned in the announcement we linked above.
