Before the much awaited conference for Nintendo E3 2018, the Nintendo Treehouse event went live, we had a few announcements from Nintendo. Nintendo opened the show with Demon X Machina, which looked gritty, serious and action-packed with an interesting aesthetic.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna The Golden Country

The popular Action JRPG is making its way onto the Nintendo Switch.

Super Mario Party

This looks INSANE. Turning friends into enemies has never looked this good. If you already had friends that is.

Fire Emblem Three Houses

Ugh this also looks good. So badly wishing we had a Switch. Spring 2019.

Coming to the Switch. Of course. For free. Download on the Nintendo eShop.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate

Nintendo direct opened with the new Super Smash Bros Ultimate. They showcased the Super Smash roster which is now MASSIVE. Every single character to ever be in any Super Smash Bros game is here in this game. They spent a good hour just on Smash explaining all that’s new in the game.

They went on to showcase changes in old fighters and the fighting capabilities and changes in appearances and more for the plethora of characters in the new Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Nintendo also announced that the game will be compatible with the Gamecube controller and all amiibo figures of characters in the game will be compatible with the game.

Finally, they announced a new challenger. Ridley, from the Metroid frachise. Super Smash Bros Ultimate will be available starting Dec 7, 2018. A Ridley amiibo will be releasing along with the game as well, and a new Inkling (from Splatoon) amiibo as well. There will be an amiibo for Daisy as well, who was also added to the game.

Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee

The next section after Smash was dedicated to the next most anticipated title from Nintendo ,which was teased a few days ago, the new Pokemon games coming out on the Nintendo Switch. The game goes back to the Kanto region, where the very first games were based but with a host of new mechanics mixed in with familiar old mechanics. One of  the key features is its integration with popular mobile AR game Pokemon Go. The Pokeball Plus, which is being released alongside the game works like a joycon and you can store pokemon in it and carry them around with you. Mew comes exclusively with Pokeball plus, inside it. They spent almost an hour showcasing gameplay from the new Pokemon games and we have to say we’re extremely excited about this one. We haven’t regretted not having a console this bad in a long long time.

Following the showcase of their two major upcoming titles, Nintendo held the Splatoon 2 World Championships and the the Super Smash Bros Invitational 2018, both of which you can watch here.

Nintendo definitely went all out, and it looks like they stole the show at E3 this year.
