EA E3 2017 was the first to kick things off this year. Their press conference didn’t showcase much in the form of new games, with only two titles time around: a new BioWare game called Anthem and an another game called A Way Out. Other than that the conference was mostly dedicated to Star Wars Battlefront 2 and their upcoming sports titles. You can find a playlist of all trailers showcased during the conference here.

EA E3 2017: Two new titles, Expansions, Sports and more

Star Wars: Battlefront 2
A majority of the conference was dedicated to Battlefront 2. Much of which was focused on the multiplayer aspect of the game. Multiplayer in Battlefront 2 will span across all eras of Star Wars 2, so don’t be surprised when you see Boba Fett fighting alongside Darth Maul against phase 2 droids and Rey. Another bit of good news was that all post-release add-ons will be free. Yes, you read that right, free.

The live multiplayer session was set on a map in Naboo and there was a lot of action, so much action that we didn’t know what was happening most of the time. According to EA with time the game will have more vehicles, customizations, abilities and classes. It should definitely be a much better game overall than the first one. Our two cents? It definitely looks hella cool and it was fun watching Darth Maul tear through stuff.

EA released a teaser for their new IP, Anthem. It was just a teaser during their conference but we got to see some gameplay at the Microsoft conference the next day. It has a very Attack on Titan feel to it, what with the wall and all that. We’re excited though.

A Way Out

The second new game EA is publishing is a co-op prison break-out game. You take control of one of two people who want to well, break out of prison. The game is split-screen only, so you can’t play alone. You have to either play online or locally with a player two. From the looks of the trailer it definitely looks very promising and innovative.

Need for Speed Payback

Need for Speed Payback looks less like the NFS of old and more like a Fast and the Furious meets Burnout meets Split/Second game. Nice, we dig it.

Battlefield 1 In the Name of the Tsar Expansion

BF1 will be getting new stuff this summer in the form of two night maps. EA also announced an expansion for the game: The Name of the Tsar, which will include new maps from the easter front of WW1. The expansion will include six new maps to the game and the Russian army featuring the “iconic women’s battalion of death.” It’s set to arrive this September. They also teased a squad mode, promising more information on it later at Gamescom in August.

Madden 18

EA began the show with Madden 18, adding a story mode to it this time around. They’re calling it LongShot. It’s drama af.

FIFA 18: ‘Fueled By Ronaldo’

Every year FIFA gets closer and closer to looking more life-like. It applies to this year as well. We didn’t really get to see any actual gameplay in the reveal trailer but it did cool nonetheless. FIFA 18 will keep its story mode and will also allow you to import your character from FIFA 17.

NBA Live 18

NBA Live 18 is combining street with tournament play. The reveal also gives you an idea of how the game’s progression works.

That about covers EA E3 2017. Stay tuned for more.
