If you didn’t know, you can watch a 48 minute long Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay video, that is, if you already haven’t by now. Also, if you happen to have watched it on CD Projekt Red’s Twitch stream, then you just helped break a record, as the gameplay demo is the “most watched stream on Twitch for an upcoming game” in 2018. So far.

Nearly half a million people tuned into the stream to watch the gameplay demo, should give you an idea of how big a deal the game is. We know we’re super hyped for it.

According to Githyp, the CD Projekt Red’s Twitch stream saw a peak viewership of 288k, but when factoring in all the re-streams, the concurrent viewers go all the way up to 459k. This also made Cyberpunk 2077 the most watched game on that particular day.

As seen on githyp.

The stat tracking site also mentioned since the gameplay demo reveal, hundreds of thousands of viewers have been visiting CD Projekt Red’s Twitch. The YouTube video for the same has a little over 6 million views as of writing this.

Cyberpunk 2077 topped Fortnite’s viewership on that day, which was sitting at around 305k viewers. It beat the likes of God of War, Sea of Thieves, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 in terms of upcoming gameplay reveal views.

And EA said singleplayer games were dead. lol.
