Battle for Azeroth: Are you with the Alliance or the Horde?

November 6, 2017 — by Manish "Trigger-Happy" Rajesh0

Blizzard has announced the newest World of Warcraft expansion at Blizzcon 2017. The expansion, Battle for Azeroth, is a nautical-themed expansion and re-ignites the age-old conflict between the Alliance and the Horde.

Battle for Azeroth

The new expansion will take players to the high-seas, to the islands of Kul Tiras and Zandalar, as the Horde and the Alliance rush to recruit new allies.

While the Horde is headed to Zandalar to recruit the trolls to their side, the Alliance is headed to Kul Tiras, the homeland of Jaina Proudmoore and her father’s mighty fleet. War is coming and people are excited.

There will be no new classes included in the Battle for Azeroth expansion, but there are several new races being added. By new races here we don’t mean new races entirely, but rather a unique take on the already existing ones. Earning favour with the Lightforged draenei, Highmountain tauren, Nightborne, Void elves, Dark Iron dwarves, and Zandalari trolls unlocks their special appearance. There is also new Heritage Armor which you get by levelling a new character with the special appearance to level 120. The new level cap.

The expansion also has new adventures to embark on, with PvE/PvP hybrid activities to go on. Explore uncharted isles and secure valuable resources for your faction. Your factions matter now more than ever.

In addition to the usual dungeons and raids, you now have Warfronts which puts groups of 20 soldiers under your command as you siege and capture enemy outposts and defeat enemy commanders.

The new expac is also doing away with Artifact weapons from the Legion expac. A similar system is replacing it which makes use of a new resource called Azerite. You can use Azerite to customize your armour with new traits and change appearances.

For those of you who were starved for some Alliance vs Horde action and thought the game was lacking, it looks like now is the time to get back to WoW.

Now all that leaves is one burning question: Are you for the Alliance? Or for the Horde?
