BAFTA Games Awards 2016 have been dominated by a select few video games. Some being obvious while the others were a little surprising.

The 12th British Academy Video Game Awards, more commonly known as BAFTA Games Awards 2016 was held on 7th April 2016 and was hosted by comedian and television presenter Dara Ó Briain at Tobacco Dock. Nominees were announced on 10th March 2016 and the world’s been waiting with bated breath for the winners to be announced or so we’d like to think. Most of this year’s awards were bagged primarily by Her Story, Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture and Rocket League. The best game was awarded to everyone’s favourite – Fallout 4 and there were a few surprising winners as well. The much controversial Batman: Arkham Knight being one of them. Let’s take a look at the winners.

Deep in the suburban jungle roams the only member of the mystical species, Barbarianicus Ass-kick-us. This super awesome creature carries with it the answers to none of life’s mysteries. Then what on earth could be so awesome about him? Being able to binge-game for countless hours and exercise remarkable restraint over his penchant for sarcasm around members of lesser species are just some of qualities that make him likeable…really likeable. xD
