A casual carrom game for the masses
Carrom Live is a carrom game that is rapidly gaining popularity. The game has you play carrom against various opponents online, in real-time, which is a welcome addition, and it’s also nice to have the option to play against friends.
Sadly, the more hardcore carrom aficionados amongst you will be a little disappointed by the fact that the game doesn’t adhere to certain rules, such as those regarding Striker placement and hitting below the base line. Yes, the graphics aren’t that great and the UI is, shall we say, inelegant, and yes, the physics and rules aren’t a 100% accurate, but a game such as this is defined by its community and that’s what you get. If you’re not interested in playing against random people online however, there are better options available.
It’s nice to see that the game has no ads, and while there is in-app purchasing, it’s restricted to “coins” that you need to play games. You earn these coins by leveling up and by winning matches and also by watching ads and installing apps. As a free, multiplayer carrom game, this is definitely not bad.
