E3 is coming up and we’re here to show the best that E3 has to offer this year, so here are the Top 10 E3 2016 XBOX One Games to look forward to.
We all know what E3 is, for those who don’t it’s THE place for publishers to showcase their games. And all platforms and gamers are welcome, from PC gamers to Console gamers and there’s even something for the mobile gamers. Let’s have a look at the best E3 2016 Xbox One Games that look to be the most promising for the platform.
E3 2016 XBOX ONE Games
Gears of War 4
Gears is one of those exclusive titles that’s still thriving and has a dedicated fan base. For those unfamiliar, Gears of War is a gritty third person shooter with a nice dosage of gore. We haven’t seen much of this game except for some beta multiplayer action, which was frankly a tad disappointing for many, but the game is far from finished and hopefully the final product will be the Gears game we’ve all been waiting for.
ReCore is an upcoming action-adventure game which is being published by Microsoft. We first saw ReCore at the 2015 E3 and we immediately fell in love with the art style and concept of the game. ReCore has some big names from the gaming industry working on it, hopefully we don’t have a “too many cooks spoil the broth” situation, but only time will tell.
Exclusive titles are getting rarer these days. When a game boasts being exclusive, that means you’re going to have to buy a console specifically to play that game, and Scalebound is set to be an exclusive title. Scalebound will be an action RPG, and you have a dragon, yep a dragon. You can command your dragon, ride your dragon, customise your dragon. Oh boy we love this game already.
Sea of Thieves
Ever had fantasies of being a pirate after watching the Pirates of the Caribbean movies? Well with Sea of Thieves you can! Enjoy the full pirate experience! Plunder villages, search for treasure, and enjoy battles at sea. Work together with your crew of swashbucklers and nothing is impossible! Arrgh! And it’s multiplayer, bring your pirate friends too. Hopefully the game will be as fun as it sounds.
With Crackdown 3 came the promise of unmitigated environmental destruction, which has been an empty promise being made to gamers for a long time now. But it looks like we may finally get what we want. In addition to being able to completely destroy the environment, you can now do it along with your friends. Maybe now you can troll them by dropping an entire building on them or something.
Microsoft will be unveiling their next Forza title at E3, so racing game fans have something to look forward to. Forza is well known for its amazing graphics and realism. Seriously, the Forza games look gorgeous. They haven’t announced an official title or even the release date yet, but what they have said is that it will have the “largest and most diverse car list of any video game franchise of this generation”.
The 17 stands for 2017 (we think, never understood how naming these games works), there’s easily more than 17 titles in the FIFA series. It’s been around for that long and still maintains its spot at the top as the most played sports based video game. They say football never changes, well FIFA is out to prove that “Football has changed”. We’ll definitely find out soon enough.
Titanfall 2 is the sequel to Titanfall (duh). Anyway Respawn claims the game will be “huge” and will “steal the show”, which is pretty much what they said when they released Titanfall. Titanfall was a great game, but it suffered from a few fatal flaws. One of which has already been addressed. Titanfall 2 will be a cross platform game and will be coming to the PS4 as well. Smart move guys.
Shadow Warrior 2
Shadow Warrior was quite the indie gem. It was heaps of fun to play and had its comedic moments in addition to great action. Shadow Warrior 2 will be a sequel to the 2013 title and is set five years after the events of the first. In addition to being more open and nonlinear, Shadow warrior 2 will also feature a new 4 player co-op mode.
No Man’s Sky
Ahh, No Man’s Sky. We’ve been waiting for this one forever, after countless delays maybe the game will finally see the light of day come August. Until then however, we’ll have to suffice with seeing the game at E3 and hopefully get a glimpse of what we can look forward to. Never mind open-world, you now have an open-universe to explore. Infinite procedurally generated galaxies to explore? Where do we sign up?!
