E3 is coming up and we’re here to show the best that E3 has to offer this year, so come let’s take a look!
The Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E3 in short, is an annual trade fair held by the Entertainment Software Association (ESA). While the name does say electronic, the E3 is known primarily for showcasing video games and gaming related accessories and peripherals. It’s arguably the biggest expo there is for gamers and gaming related tech today. Almost every AAA video game publisher presents their games here and the roster for E3 2016 PC Games is looking quite promising. If you want your game to be known to the world, E3 is your best bet. So without further ado let’s take a look at the best E3 2016 PC Games that has us excited.
E3 2016 PC GAMES
Sid Meier’s Civilization VI
Sid Meier’s Civilization series is arguably one of the most popular turn-based strategy games in existence today with several awards to boot. Civilization 6 hopes to rework a whole bunch of older gameplay features and also plans on adding several new ones. Civilization 6 will also feature a new Envoy system which allows players to gain influence over other City-States without actually needing to spend units or gold.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
As usual, E3 isn’t complete without its annual Call of Duty title (or is it?), which this time comes to us as Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Infinite Warfare, which if you haven’t seen the trailer yet, is even more futuristic than Advanced Warfare. The game will supposedly feature full-scale battles in space and in zero gravity. It’s a risky venture, let’s how it plays out.
While Call of Duty is time travelling into the future, EA has decided to take a step back with the Battlefield franchise. Battlefield 1 (yep, that’s the official title) will be set during World War 1, which is a refreshing change. The world has gone gaga over the trailer but only time will tell if it will live up to its hype.
Ghost Recon: Wildlands
Ghost Recon: Wildlands is a Tom Clancy title, and Tom Clancy titles don’t usually disappoint. Hopefully, this one won’t either. Wildlands is set much closer to the current timeline than the previous titles in the series. It will feature an open world which makes stealth-shooters all that much more fun. The primary focus, however, is seemingly on it’s multiplayer and cooperative gameplay.
Dishonoured brought players a unique experience with its steampunk theme, dark setting, its selection of powers, and its challenging stealth gameplay. So it obviously comes as no surprise that the world is excited about Dishonored 2, and hopefully, Bethesda will give us a glimpse at E3. Dishonoured 2 will feature 2 leads, in addition to Corvo, we’ll also be seeing Emily Kaldwin as one of the playable characters.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
Mankind Divided has been delayed multiple times, much to the dismay of its fans since whatever we’ve seen of the game so far looks amazing. Deus Ex is one of those rare shooter/RPG hybrids that just works. This in addition to its implementations of stealth mechanics and gameplay makes it an enjoyable experience for every kind of gamer.
Mafia 3 is a third-person, action-adventure game. Hangar 13 has taken over its development, and taking over a franchise from another studio can be quite challenging. Mafia 3 will be set in the 60s and features a lead who is returning from the war in Vietnam. Mafia 3 will be the first open-world title in the series, but will hopefully retain its cinematic charm from previous titles.
Mass Effect: Andromeda
BioWare is well known for dishing out phenomenal RPGs with amazing storylines. Mass Effect is one such franchise, which one could arguably agree is one of the best in gaming history. Mass Effect: Andromeda has many people excited about the future of the Mass Effect franchise, and about who will be filling Shepard’s shoes. Hopefully, EA will tell us what we want to know at E3.
Watch Dogs 2
Watch dogs didn’t too well. For the hype that it created it was frankly, a disappointment. We’re quite surprised to see a Watch Dogs 2 title being announced so soon, but hopefully, it’ll rectify and fix everything that was wrong with the first one. From what we know, the game will be set in San Francisco this time. It will again, of course, feature its unique take on hacking and a new protagonist as well.
Lawbreakers is hoping to compete with the likes of Overwatch and Battleborn in the online shooter genre, and by the looks of it, it’s definitely going to be a contender. Boss Key Productions initially planned to release the game as free-to-play but later announced that it would instead release as a digital premium title, so it better be a game worth its price because we gamers are a stingy lot.
