Microsoft have announced what you can expect from pre-ordering Gears of War 4

Along with the Halo franchise, Gears of War is probably the second most iconic franchise that was exclusive to the Xbox. We use ‘was’ here because we can once again play Gears of War on PC, and we’re ecstatic about it. Gears of War 4 is all set to release on October 11th and it looks like Microsoft has revealed what you’ll get for pre-ordering the game.

We’re not people who promote pre-ordering, we’re primarily against it for that matter. So why are we bringing up what you get for pre-ordering Gears of War 4 here? Well it turns out, aside from the usual stuff you get with pre-ordering, i.e., cosmetic in-game stuff, golden weapons, skins etc, you’re getting every Gears of War game as well.

By pre-ordering Gears of War 4 you’re getting yourself not only a pimped out version of Gears of War 4, but also Gears of War, Gears of War 2, Gears of War 3 and Gears of War: Judgement. However, keep in mind that these are the Xbox 360 versions of the games. This includes Gears of War as well, even though it has an Xbox One and PC remaster. Microsoft did something similar when they released Gears of War: Ultimate Edition where players had access to the entire collection upon pre-ordering the Ultimate Edition. Microsoft claims that this is a limited time offer, they have not however stated when it will end. We assume it’ll end when Gears of War 4 releases.

Gears of War 4 is priced at Rs. 4,000 on the Xbox Store. Also, remember that thanks to Microsoft’s Xbox Play Anywhere buying Gears of War 4 for the Xbox One also nets you the Windows 10 version of the game as well. Also be prepared to wait a while when you download the game, as the expected size is north of the 40GB mark. Especially if you’re planning to download it for both your Xbox and your PC.
