We take at look at some of the best trailers from the PlayStation Experience 2016 keynote event
The recent PlayStation Experience 2016 or PSX Keynote event had a bunch of games, both soon-to-release and more recent ones, strutting their stuff for all to see. Here’s some of the best trailers from the PlayStation Experience 2016 event!
PLAYSTATION EXPERIENCE 2016 TRAILERS
The Last Guardian
The Last Guardian has been in development for a long long time. So long that many of us thought it would never see the light of day. Some of us still don’t believe it’ll be out this week.
Ah, Nioh, this game’s caught the eye of many a Dark Souls fans with its challenging combat and action-RPG elements. The trailer definitely looks stunning, hopefully the game we get is just as stunning.
The Persona series is one of the most popular JRPG franchises around the world, and for a reason. You won’t get an experience as bizarre and weird as the Persona experience anywhere else. So it’s no surprise the world is waiting for this one with baited breath.
The Last Of Us Part II
The story was what captured us in The Last Of Us and so we’re definitely excited to continue the story in Part II. Ellie will be a playable character this time around and the games looks like it’s revolving around a revenge theme.
Horizon Zero Dawn
Guerilla Games have never made anything quite as gorgeous as Horizon Zero Dawn before. We’re really hoping they can pull this off, they’ve got robot dinosaurs for crying out loud!
Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite
Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite, like the name suggests, brings in the use of the Infinity stones from the Marvel Universe. Old time fans have expressed concerns over this one, but we think it looks quite good. Although we haven’t played any of the previous titles. But we definitely will now that it’s coming to PC as well!
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
The Lost Legacy will have you playing as Chloe Frazer instead of Nathan Drake and will take place after the events of the last Uncharted. It should be an interesting experience to play as someone other than Nathan Drake.
RTS games are quite rare on consoles, and for a myriad of reasons. It would take quite a bit of effort to get it right. Dreadnaught is a space RTS and looks like it’ll do justice to the genre on consoles.
Vane not only has a unique aesthetic going for it, it’s also got a good soundtrack to go along with it. Explore an unknown land while listening to a great OST? Sign us up!
Ni No Kuni II
Ni No Kuni is a Studio Ghibli RPG, which already means a lot is expected of it. While the first Ni No Kuni was definitely beautiful, it had a few issues here and there. Hopefully it’ll all be ironed out in the sequel!
Those are our favourite picks from the PlayStation Experience 2016 keynote event. Was there a trailer you liked that we missed? Do let us know in the comments.
